Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ornamental and fence estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver precise pricing and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD for accurate estimating and documentation.
Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms for projects.
Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Collaborate with construction management teams to assess project requirements and provide detailed estimates.
Prepare comprehensive reports detailing estimated costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new materials or techniques in construction.
Experience
Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
Familiarity with construction site operations and management practices is highly desirable.
Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors and subcontractors.
Proficient in using estimating software such as Autocad for efficient cost analysis.
Experience with contracts related to construction projects is beneficial.
A background in project management will be advantageous for coordinating between various stakeholders involved in the projects.
